Detailed description
With the term informal care we quickly think of someone who does errands for his mother with dementia. Or to someone who is taking care of his sick partner. But people whose loved ones are psychologically vulnerable? They often do not see themselves as an informal caregiver. Let alone people in their environment see them that way. Unjustified. Because they often provide long and intensive care. The mental and emotional impact is often great for carers and is regularly underestimated.
The West Frisian municipalities are therefore organizing an interactive webinar with the Knowledge Platform Informal Care West-Friesland, in which various mental aspects of informal care are discussed and participants receive guidance on: why is it important to stay in balance, what is the impact of the a loved one, what it is like to live together in a time of corona? Attention is paid to asking for help and we do a mental exercise to reflect on your own balance.
This webinar will be organized on November 26, 2020 and is free for informal carers from or informal carers of people living in the municipalities of Drechtland, Enkhuizen, Koggenland, Hoorn, Medemblik, Opmeer or Stede Broec.
