Summary
The Hendrick de Keyser Association is looking for a volunteer for Museumhuis Huis Bonck on the Binnenluiendijk in Hoorn.Detailed description
Do you know Huis Bonck? That beautiful house at Binnenluiendijk 3 in Hoorn? The owner of the Hendrick de Keyser Association opened this monument in June 2018 as a Museum House. Volunteer in this special 17th century house.
At Museum houses, doors literally open for you. Until now, the doors of these houses were virtually closed, but from now on everyone can take a look in the kitchen and other rooms! At Museum houses, the houses really come to life and a world opens up for you! You will not find 'do not touch' signs in a Museum House. Visitors are allowed to take a seat on the 17th-century chairs, try out the box bed or drink tea in the inner room. As a core volunteer, you are an 'ordinary' volunteer, with additional tasks. You ensure a hospitable reception and bring the house to life, together with the visitors. You are also responsible for opening and closing the house, you know what to do in an emergency and you are the point of contact for your colleagues. You know how the facility should be and handle complaints. In short, you have more responsibilities. Of course you will be elaborated on this.
The Association offers core volunteers a fixed expense allowance of € 15.50 per part of the day (this includes travel costs) with a maximum of € 140 per month.
We expect our core volunteers to be present two half-days a week. These half-days are determined in consultation. The Hendrick de Keyser Association is looking for volunteers with good communication and social skills who enjoy working with people. Core volunteers have an emergency response diploma (this training is offered by the Hendrick de Keyser Association). No specific prior knowledge or experience is required, but interest in architecture, the property or the history of the region is desired. You are also living in the region.
